Eyes to the skies.

Who to blame? Boys Life? Movies? Iron Eagle, buzzing the tower, and you know Maverick caught my attention. It was 100% the Blue Angels at the Air & Water show, the Thunderbirds, my favorite SR-71, but I was also in love with commercial aircraft. I collected the United cups (yeah what happened to those?), always asked for a tour of the cockpit (as a kid, but I'm not going to pretend I don't want one now). There's something about aircraft, large, small, anything that flies that I have a passion for.

This is my first time spending any time legitimately focused on photographing aircraft at my favorite airport. It's my favorite airport to see aircraft, to fly out of is another discussion altogether. Was it the best weather for photography, no, but that's how things go. Sometimes you have to go with what you have in front of you. I had a great time with one of my favorite people photographing aircraft and learning more about them from another perspective. That in itself made this one of my favorite experiences.
